Lake Tahoe is an absolutely beautiful place to spend a week or so. However, you may be wondering—should you look into Lake Tahoe rentals or should you go to a hotel?

For one, rentals aren’t crowded. They are usually house or apartment size quarters that you can easily fit everyone into, without a fuss. However, hotels are usually a bit crowded. You may find that someone ends up saying “Forget it!” and decides to sleep on the floor, or gets kicked on the floor, or gets a toe in their ear or a foot in their mouth or a black eye from being kicked. All joking aside, hotels can be small, crammed, and just not very fun.

Next, there’s the cooking issue. Now, we all know about continental breakfasts. Now, most of the time, they are pretty good, it’s always fresh food, etc…but it can be a bit hard to know whether you’re eating something fresh or something that has been on the table for a while. Not to mention how people act around free food—you know which ones. Those people who—god forbid—don’t eat anything except the best when they’re picking out their food and they end up touching everyone else’s food or picking through it. Plus, you don’t know who has washed their hands or showered or somehow got clean before they decided poking around or if they’re going back to bed right after they finish getting their breakfast.

However, when it comes to things such as cooking, you can do all of your cooking in your Lake Tahoe rentals. You don’t have to get up ridiculously early or worry about how much it’s going to cost you in the long run to order from room service. You simply go up to the store, get what you want as far as food goes and then proceed to cook at whim! If you want to go out to eat, you can. But it isn’t something that you absolutely have to do. You can make your own food choices.

And then there’s the party scene. Depending on how lucky you are, you may have found that you have had to deal with many a rude neighbor while at a hotel or had your door knocked on, or been unable to sleep thanks to a few crazy college kids (or maybe not so college kids…) who insist on blasting their music as loud as they possibly can. The point is—you may not realize it, but you don’t have to deal with this when it comes to Lake Tahoe rentals. You can very simply choose to go halfsies with a friend or you can choose to rent the home by yourself and your family.

Just remember—Lake Tahoe is a beautiful place and you definitely should check it out. Just remember that Lake Tahoe rentals are sure to give you a much better experience while on vacation!
