A moving company will actually will pack your household goods for you then they load the moving van with your household goods and then deliver them and unload them at your new location. And hopefully they can park as close as they can get to your new location and safely unload your goods with a minimum of steps into your new home.

A moving company is a service company that is in business because you and other potential customers want to use them to move house. A moving company may also have some ancillary business that are related to its main business purpose like self storage or even long term storage facilities. Most larger moving companies use a satellite system to track their moving vans and your possessions much like a GPS does. This is a way to insure your household goods get to the correct destination in a timely manner.
