 The number of women age 50 and older opting for plastic surgery and other cosmetic procedures is on a surprisingly steep rise in the U.K. according to results of a new study by the Harley Medical Group, one of the U.K. and Republic of Ireland's leading cosmetic surgery groups. Research shows that the number of women age 50 and older booking cosmetic procedures including dermal fillers, laser treatment and skin peels rose nearly 70 percent over the past year across the Pond. Plastic surgeons here in the United States report similar increases in their firms. In fact, research shows that cosmetic surgery after age 65 has increased nearly six-fold since 1997 in the U.S.
